AI Security Engineer

Your mission
You will lead the secure adoption of AI across Awaze’s ecosystem—ensuring that governance, architecture, and delivery are aligned so teams can innovate safely and confidently. Working closely with engineering, product, platform, and data teams, you will embed security best practices into every stage of how AI-enabled systems are designed, built, and operated. Acting as both a subject matter expert and an enabler, you will help teams make fast, well-informed decisions while maintaining strong security standards.
What you'll be doing
Define and maintain AI security standards, governance processes, and guardrails
Design and review secure architectures for AI-enabled systems, including LLMs, RAG, APIs, and integrations
Conduct threat modelling and security design reviews for AI use cases
Identify and mitigate risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and insecure integrations
Assess third-party AI vendors, tools, and models to ensure appropriate security controls
Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and AI delivery workflows
Secure cloud platforms and infrastructure across AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and container environments
Who we’re looking for
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving complex security challenges, working across teams, and enabling innovation through pragmatic, risk-based decision-making. You’re someone who combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and a passion for building secure, scalable systems.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
5+ years’ experience in information security, across security architecture, application security, cloud security, or DevSecOps
Hands-on experience with AI/ML/LLM-enabled systems (e.g. RAG, agentic systems, tool integrations)
Strong understanding of security principles across applications, cloud, and software delivery workflows
Experience with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and container security
Proficiency in coding and automation (e.g. Python, CI/CD tools, Terraform)
A collaborative and proactive approach to driving secure outcomes
Bonus points if you have:
Experience securing production AI/LLM systems
Knowledge of AI gateways, observability, and prompt security techniques
Familiarity with security tooling such as Wiz, CrowdStrike, BurpSuite, or GitHub Advanced Security
Experience with ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks
Relevant security or cloud certifications

Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to enable secure AI innovation
Improve and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and AI delivery pipelines
Drive automation in security testing, monitoring, and reporting

Champion a strong security culture through training, guidance, and advocacy
